6 Week Gymnastics Program
CrossFit RDU will be adding a 6 week Gymnastics Program to the schedule beginning Thursday June 10th. This program is great for the intermediate and advanced athlete looking to advance their gymnastics skills for workouts as well as beginner athletes seeking to develop the strength and body positions necessary to move forward with gymnastics movements.
This program will utilize static position holds, body position drills, strength building exercises, core work, dynamic movement, and range of motion development. The emphasis is on quality of movement and not reps or time.
The first day of the program is a testing day used to establish a baseline of capacity for all athletes participating. The program will be three days per week (Thursday, Saturday, Tuesday). The Thursday class will be coached, the other two days the participants will be required to videotape all exercises to post to a private Facebook group.
This program will develop the athletes capacity in pull-ups, toes-to-bar, muscle-ups, push-ups, handstand push-ups, handstand walking, rope climbing, as well as general body awareness and strength.
The cost for the 6 week program will be $150 (either billed all at once or $50 every 2 weeks). If you are interested in participating, contact Meredith or Steve.
